Today, these fragile historic neighbourhoods are choked by an endless, noisy invasion of electric tuk-tuks, plastic tourist contraptions, and Segways that treat residential streets like a racetrack.

We refuse to add to that chaos. We explore the heart of Lisbon the only way that still makes human and ethical sense: on foot. This isn't a sanitized corporate tour where a guide wears a uniform, waves a brightly colored umbrella, and recites a script of boring historical dates.

  We don't march through the streets with 30 people blocking the sidewalks, forcing locals off the pavement. We keep our groups strictly limited so we can move like normal human beings, not an invading crowd.

  The people hanging their laundry from the balconies or sitting on their doorsteps are not props in a human zoo. They are our neighbours. We don't shout through megaphones, we don't crowd their doorways, and we make damn sure our presence respects their right to live in peace.
